Designed to work with Kelfar Technologies’ AK4 and AK5 Pro, the AK Pro Series World Scale Tuning Editor allows the user to adjust the pitch of each note in octave C/Do to B/Si to -64 to +63 and store them into one of the 9 user scale locations.

You asked, and we listened. Kelfar Technologies understands and the growing interest of musicians in micro-tonal music worldwide.

While it is possible to program your own scales by using the AK4/5 onboard feature, the AK PRO editor is much easier to use to create your own user scales and share them with musicians around the world. There is no limit of how many user scales files you can save!

Of course, each saved user scale .SCL file is able to have 9 user scales. The AK PRO editor allows you to name and rename the 9 user scales and saved them as part of the .SCL file.

Built-In Conversion Utility for Korg Trinity V3 PCG files

The editor converts your Korg Trinity V3 PCG files and loads them without the need to do any editing on the synthesizer. This works with both regular and MOSS sounds.

Tired of using the default firmware global values for the Global Korg Extreme / Studio Velocity and Aftertouch curves? Simply load the FIRMWARE .bin and let the AK PRO editor do the rest. You’re no longer tied to using the defaults.

It’s easy to update the AK Pro. Download the .bin file (i.e. AK4_MAIN_42.bin) in order to update the Firmware.

Faster Bi-Directional Communication

Because  both the AK4 and AK5 are equipped with a USB 2 midi interface, you’ll experience faster bi-directional communication between the AK4, AK5, and the AK Pro editor.

To access the key features of the AK Pro Series Editor, you must enter the PU (Program User) mode. 

To enter the PU mode:

  1. Press the Tune/Setup button
  2. Then press the Direct button
  3. The AK4/AK5 will display the Program User (PU) mode

The key features of the AK Pro Series editor when the AK4/5 Pro is in PU (Program User) mode:

  1. Send (from the editor) and Receive (from AK Pro series) 9 User Scales
  2. Create, Save, and Load 9 User Scales by using the AK Pro editor
  3. Name your 9 User Scales
  4. Convert your Korg Trinity V3 PCGs
  5. Modify Korg Extreme / Studio Velocity and Aftertouch curves

To update the Program Firmware (PF), you must enter the PF mode.

To enter the PF mode:

  1. Press the transpose buttons – and plus
  2. Now power the AL4/AK5 by plugging the USB cable into the USB port
  3. The AK4/AK5 will display the Program Firmware (PF) mode

When the AK4/5 Pro is in PF (Program Firmware) mode:

  1. AK Pro series Firmware / System update
  2. Modify Korg Extreme / Studio Velocity and Aftertouch curves
